Match Scheduling
The Ultimate Tennis format is designed to provide you with maximum flexibility and convenience. You and your opponents select the day and time of your matches!
Primary Week
Each team has one assigned match per week. The primary weeks are numbered 1 through 6 on a player's schedule. Weeks run from Saturday through Friday.
Make Up Week
Players are allowed a one week extension from their primary week to complete each match. The last day of the "Make up week" is the deadline for reporting scores, shown as the Deadline on your schedule. The only exception is if you use your Late Pass
Bye Week
All Ultimate Tennis schedules include one "bye" or off week where no matches are scheduled. The bye week usually occurs at the end of the season and it's specifically built in to reduce defaults by providing an open week for make up matches. If you are proactive in contacting your opponents and make proper use of your primary week, makeup week, late pass and bye week you should be able to easily complete all of your matches.
Match Times
Matches must begin between the start times shown below unless both teams mutually agree to play at a different time.
Nights and Weekend League- Monday - Friday: matches must begin between 5:00pm - 8:00pm
- Saturday - Sunday: matches must begin between 9:00am - 7:00pm
- Monday - Friday: matches must begin between 8:00am - 11:00am
How to schedule
- Each designated team captain is responsible for contacting the other team to schedule matches.
- Captains should offer at least three available days per week to the opposing team. Once a mutually agreeable day and time is found, schedule the match.
- If a suitable time can't be found during the primary week, teams should set up a time during the make-up week.
- If a suitable time can't be found during the make-up week, the less available team's captain may choose to use their team's Late Pass to complete the match.
- If a captain elects to use their late pass to reschedule the match, the opposing team must schedule the match during the remainder of the season or default. Note: A team is not obligated to allow the use of a late pass in the case where the opposing team was unresponsive to calls and emails during the assigned weeks of play.
- If both teams elect not to use their Late Pass, then the team that was most available during the primary week of play has this option to report a default and receive 12 points. The less available team will receive a zero for that week of play.
Rescheduling Matches
Each team is allowed one "reschedule" from the initial match date before the opposing team is awarded the "default option". To be eligible for rescheduling, matches must be cancelled at least three hours prior to the scheduled match start time. An opposing team is not obligated to reschedule any match cancelled with less than three hours notice. To insure teams are notified in a timely manner of the need to reschedule a match, captains are encouraged to utilize all listed numbers as opposed to only email.
Note: Weather related cancellations are exempt from the above rule. Players must refer to our Inclement Weather Policy when a match must be rescheduled due to weather.

- Matches may always be played ahead of schedule!
