Is it the home court team's responsibility to set up the match?
No. Both teams are responsibile for contacting each other.
How do we set up a doubles match when four players are involved?
To avoid confusion when scheduling, each doubles team will select a "captain" who will be the main point of contact for scheduling. Teammates should coordinate schedules prior to contacting their opponents. The captain of each team will then communicate with one another regarding their team's availability.
The opposing team has not returned any calls. When may we report a default?
If your team captain has attempted to contact the opposing team at least twice at all numbers provided, and has not received a return call by Wednesday of the scheduled week of play, your team may report a default and 12 points by due date on your schedule.
May we play a "Sub" team instead of our regular opponents?
No, substitutes are not allowed in replacement of playing your regular opponents. If you or your partner have a scheduling conflict or a short term illness/injury your team will receive a zero for that play week unless you have a late pass available which can be used. If you or your partner have a permanent need to withdraw, contact Cusomter Service immediately.
Both teams want to play but can't coordinate schedules. What are our options?
If there is a scheduling conflict yet both teams wish to play, either team may use their Free Pass to complete the match anytime before the end of the season.
It started to rain during our match. What do we do?
Teams may elect to reschedule the match prior to the deadline or receive the points they had earned (max of 10) up to the time play stopped. Neither team shall receive the win.
How long do we have to play a match and report scores?
Basically two weeks. The first week is the "scheduled" week of play. This is normally when matches should be scheduled and played. The second week is the "Make up Week" that may be used in the event of scheduling conflicts during the scheduled week or to reschedule a match if necessary.
Our opponents did not show up for our match. How long were we supposed to wait?
Teams required to wait a minimum of twenty minutes before leaving the court and reporting a default. Please take into account traffic considerations, etc. before assuming your opponents are a no show. As long as a team is not excessively late, our preference is the match be played and decided on the court.
