Current Average

Current average points are awarded to teams that elect to win a match by default rather than playing an actual match. The maximum number of points a team can receive for their average is 10 points. This is a floating average that changes week to week based on match results. The points will not be finalized until the last scores are reported at the end of the season.

Current average points are calculated by taking the total points earned, divided by the total matches played. Example (12+8+5+14+7) = 46 points. 46 points divided by 5 matches = 9.2, current average = 9 points.

Note: A current average in week #1 will temporarily show as 10 points until actual match scores are reported.

Did You Know?

Why a current average is capped at 10 points? By limiting current average points to less than what can be earned by winning an actual match, (12 or 14 points) it encourages teams to play real matches. Without this cap in place, too many teams would look for ways to default their opponents based on technicalities rather completing matches.
